About me, B: My given name is Brenda, but I prefer to “just be” and so the use of my initial as a nickname arose (and also “Bee” when an initial was not acceptable). I’ve been practicing yoga for over 30 years now. I’ve received training in various types of yoga all over the world, starting with Ashtanga in Hawaii in 2007 to Thai Yoga in Thailand (an ancient practice of assisted yoga) in 2023. (Some of my certificates are below). I teach at top-tier gyms, in the park, on the beach, at yoga events, and for a few, I offer private classes in Sarasota, Florida. My classes are suitable for beginners to seasoned athletes with variations so that yoga can “meet you wherever you are.” Yoga benefits everyone by calming the mind while bringing greater range of movement and strength. My yogic philosophy is rooted in mindfulness that leads to a deeper, holistic union of breath, body and mind.
BONUS: A prolific author, chef, and scientist, I have lectured at conferences internationally on the subject of plant-based nutrition for decades. I offer coaching in this area as well.

Private Yoga Classes
$100 for 90 minutes (negotiable)
My favorite way to teach is to tailored one-on-one yoga sessions for individuals or couples. Taking the time to get to know your needs, history of injuries and athleticism, and goals, we can take your practice to a much higher level than can be done in a larger classroom setting. At home, on the beach, or in a park, we start and end with the breath, while moving gracefully in between in a flowing, gentle manner that will energize and relax you as we take your body’s potential to new limits. Classes include personalized instruction, with help getting the most from each pose, including guided mediation and breathing exercises to refresh and rejuvenate mind and body. Meditation and Movement
Most classes with B involve an aspect of meditation. Whether integrating breathing techniques and aligning them with movement, or as a separate focus. If you have never meditated before, utilizing a gentle voice to guide you through the process is the easy way. From there, many techniques can be added to reach various states of awakened consciousness. Every person is different, and different on different days. B will meet you where you are and guide you to an inner bliss that you will then learn to access on your own. Imagine how your life would change if you learned to control your mind and access deep relaxation whenever you want. It is possible. You have the ability within. You just need a guide to learn to access it.

Small Group Sessions for Special Events
B demonstrates many different types of yoga from acro-yoga to Ashtanga to yoga for back pain and yoga for athletes at conferences, retreats, and other gatherings. Small group morning or evening yoga is also a nice thing to schedule for family or friends sharing a living space on holiday. Athletic teams and business associates can also utilize this special opportunity to bring the benefits of yoga to improve performance and boost morale. Prices start at $100/hour, which can be very inexpensive for a small group. Please describe your group and location when you text for the quickest, easiest reply on price.
